While Fall is just beginning we can’t forget about the fun we had at this year’s Langdon Day’s Festival. Just moments away from the community of Bridges of Langdon, the yearly celebration took place from July 19-21. This festival aids in raising funds for the Langdon Community Association to make improvements to public spaces like parks and other facilities. Langdon days also help fund other community events throughout the year.
The festival begins with the Friday softball tournament. Not a sports fan? Well, you’re in luck because each day there are food trucks, and a beer garden to enjoy! Saturday kicks off with day two of the slow-pitch tournament and breakfast at 8 am. After breakfast comes a parade including horse-drawn carriages showcasing local businesses, farmers and performers. This parade is something you definitely don’t want to miss! The sidewalks are packed with parade watchers so make sure you come down early! Shortly after the parade, everyone will gather in Langdon park to enjoy more of the festivities! For the rest of the day, families are encouraged to enjoy the family fun zone in the park! To end off the weekend, Sunday’s activities include a vintage car show and of course, more beer gardens!
This event is one that Bridges of Langdon members will absolutely be enjoying for years to come and we encourage you to check it out! If you want to get involved in next years event check out their website: http://www.goodlucktown.ca/langdon-days.html
